July 2019 - FI CH FI TCH Bogdogs Hungry Heart "Nella" and owner Marko Tapaila have been on fire in tracking trials this summer. To top several excellent scores, on July 14 this skilled pair received 50/50 points in the Winner class, which is very rare. Well done!

CRITIQUE: Very well balanced team of four. Highly typical. Impressive heads. All of high quality breeding with noble grave expressions. All have lovely full wide nostrils, outstanding bone and large well padded feet. Good length of body on all. Well constructed all out. Presented in excellent condition. Coats slightly excessive in feather on some. Moved very positively as a team with good lively breed action.

CRITIQUE: Young quality bitch of correct breed outline. Good lentgh of ribcage and muzzle, head well balanced, pleasing hazel eyecolour and eyeset, Slightly throaty, but expression full of noble breed charracter. Outstandingly strong bone and large well padded feet. Ribcage correctly sprung with good depth of brisket. Sligth rise over the loin and firm and well covered across the loins for her age with exceptional hind quarters muscling and deep second thighs. Hocks short and strong. Moved with determined power, very soundly and accurately. Nicely feather without beeing exaggerated.

July 2019 - The IWS puppies born in February 2019 are growing up nicely and starting to make their first appearances in the show ring.

FIVE IRISH WATER SPANIEL PUPPIES WERE BORN IN FEBRUARY 2019

"Woody" was born in 1993 and his semen was collected in 2001 and sent to Kathy Sprout in Australia. By the kind permission of Kathy Sprout and Woody´s owner Susanne Narfström I had the possibility to get the semen back. "Pinky" was inseminated in December. Woody was a very healthy dog with an excellent temperament. He had excellent hips, elbows and eyes. He received a CC at Crufts in 2002 and was BIS at the Dutch Specialty in 2001, under judge Pepi Barrington. He died in 2005, nearly 13 years old. Health tests: elbows excellent, hips excellent, eyes clear.

"Pinky" is a great all-around dog with a good temperament. In addition to dog shows, Pinky has done blood tracking with great results in Open and Winners Classes and only needs one more result for her Tracking Champion status, which we hope to achieve next summer. Pinky has also done agility, rally and nose work, and last summer we took a water rescue course in which Pinky did well. Pinky is also an active care dog. She gets along very well with all kinds of dogs and is friendly towards children and adults. Health tests: elbows 0/0, hips B/B, eyes clear.

MAY 2025

FI ACH FI ACH-J Bogdogs The Best, Rafu, is now the first and only Irish Water Spaniel in Finland with the Agility Champion and Agility Jumping Champion title! We are so very happy and proud of this achievement. Huge congratulations to Rafu and owner Kristiina Laine!

April 2025

At its annual meeting, the local dog club presented Susann an award for all her contributions and the work she has done for the club over the years.

Some Bogdogs dogs were also awarded. C.I.B. FI MVA SE MVA(N) HeJW-19 JV-19 PMJV-19 HeW-21 V-21 HeW-22 PMV-22 V-22 SEV-22 SEV-23 HeW-23 V-23 V-24 HeW-24 PMV-24 Bogdogs Stronger Than the Wind, Tyrsky, was the Show Dog of the Year and the Veteran Show Dog of the Year (owner Pauliina Harju). FI CH FI TCH Bogdogs Hungry Heart, Nella, was again the Tracking Dog of the Year, also lauded for her win in the Regional Tracking Championships and becoming third in the Nationals (owners Marko Tapaila and Anna-Leena Kilponen).

In December C.I.B. FI CH SE CH(S) HejW-19 FIJW-19 NORDJW-19 HeW-21 FIW-21 HeW-22 NORDW-22 FIW-22 SEW-22 SEW-23 HeW-23 FIW-23 FIW-24 HeW-24 NORDW-24 BOGDOGS STRONGER THAN THE WIND, "Tyrsky" was BOB and won Group 8 at a large dog show, Stockholm Hundmässa 2024, at the Stockholm Exhibition Centre.

October 2024

It was another impressive tracking season for Marko Tapaila and Bogdogs Hungry Heart, Nella, and this time also for Nella's granddaughter Bogdogs Your Song, Alma. Alma became the Finnish Field Spaniel Club Tracking Champion in July. Then Nella won the Regional Tracking Championship, which qualifield her to participate in the National Tracking Championships, where she received bronze. Congratulations Nella, Alma, Marko Tapaila and Anna-Leena Kilponen on your ongoing success!

MAY 2024

C.I.B. FI CH EE CH NO CH NO JUBCH Bogdogs My Only One "Kelly" started her dog show season at Tampere International being BOS with wonderful critique.

SUMMER 2023 NEWS

August was a very exciting month for our dogs. Here are some highlights.

Bogdogs My Only One "Kelly" traveled to Tromsø, Norway and came home with new titles and great placements:

Day 1: CAC, NORD CAC, NO JUBILEUM CAC, BOB, BIG-3, NO CH

Day 2: CACIB, NO JUBILEUM CAC, BOB, BIG-4, INT CH

Day 3: NO JUBILEUM CAC, BOB, NO JUBILEUM CH

IIn the Field Spaniel Club tracking competition's

Champion Class the winner with 47/50 points and thus Champion 2023 was Bogdogs Hungry Heart "Nella'. Her granddaughter Bogdogs Your Song "Alma" scored 49/50 points in the Open Class receiving the title Newcomer 2023. Both dogs were handled by Marko Tapaila and are owned by Anna-Leena Kilponen and Marko Tapaila.

Bogdogs Stronger Than The Wind 'Tyrsky' has continued his strong performances in the show ring. He placed BIS-3 in Kouvola.

Bogdogs Hungry Heart "Nella" became the Tracking Champion 2022 of the Finnish Field Spaniel Club. Following in her footsteps, her granddaughter Bogdogs Your Song became the Tracking Newcomer of 2022 in the same competition. Both dogs are owned by Marko Tapaila and Anna-Leena Kilponen. We are so proud!
